Autumn means moving...

Well, it is finally that time of year, yet again... The time when it is finally cool enough to work outside without feeling like you are going to melt away. Yeah!! I love Autumn! It tis my favorite season down here.

Also the time for moving plants and need to be moved. And move a bunch is what we did. In the "T" bed, we ripped out two of the thugs who were taking over, and moved a lot of the daylilies that got lost in the chaos. Along the fences, I composted a Rose of Sharon tree that did nothing more than piss me off. I gave it four years to smarten up, and it would just not preform like it was supposed to, no matter what I did for it. So out it went!

We still have two more beds to clean up, and the front yard to do. But we need our bodies to heal before we tackle that job. We moved/composted 3 trees. It took 3 of us to yank the suckers out. And all 3 of us felt it the next day! LOL Lots of fun!

This spring, Kk and I released 4 praying mantis egg cases in our backyard. Since I had been so busy this summer with building the deck/shed, and with company, I was not out in the yard as much as I normally am. So I was quite excited to see this little beauty!

I spotted him and called the girls over to come and see him. I said, "Look! It is one of my praying mantis'!!" N2, being N2, had the nerve to say he was not mine! I told her I was positive it was mine, that it had my name on it!

She looked more closely, and asked Where?! I told her, right there on his wing!

She believed me for about 5 minutes. And that is when I started laughing, so she knew I was pulling her leg. LOL

He was so cute! But hard to get a good picture of, cause it was windy and the flower he was on kept moving. But these two didn't turn out to badly....
